Supervision & Education

AKL Therapy’s founder, Alizah K. Lowell, is an experienced supervisor. Alizah has taught and supervised graduate level social work students in nonprofit, hospital and clinic settings. She has supervised and taught psychiatric residents as well as trainees in other mental health disciplines at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and currently supervises and teaches post-graduate students at the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis and Psychology. Alizah also supervises clinicians at all stages of their practice individually and in a group settings, provides consultation to programs and organizations and facilitates workshops on a variety of topics.
